AN  ASSOCIATION OF PARALYZED PEOPLE DEDICATED TO FINDING A CURE FOR SPINAL CORD INJURIES THROUGH SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT.

Neurogel en Marche Association is an association of paralyzed people whose overriding goal is to conduct a clinical trial to restore at least partial return of the sensory and motor functions lost after a spinal cord injury.  The project targets most specifically the chronically injured since they face the additional problem of scar formation which develops as soon as the accident occurs.

The Association wants the patients to be center-stage. While handicapped people often feel excluded from research and development, the Association provides them with the opportunity to participate in a responsive research and development effort.

THE THERAPY

NEUROGEL™ is an innovative therapy based on a growth matrix which allows the regrowth of nerve fibers through the lesion of the spinal cord.

 To enhance the expected effects of the gel, the promoters of NEUROGEL™ have decided to combine the product with two hormonal products : EPO and progesterone.   They are also considering adding stem cells to  complete this restorative structure.
 Since NEUROGEL™'s technological cluster could benefit not only people suffering from paralysis, but people with head trauma, spina-bifida, brain tumors or optical nerve lesions, the implications are enormous.
