Total cost for a 15 patient clinical trial with NEUROGEL™ combined with two hormones EPO and progesterone is estimated at 3, 293,000 €. However, the amount required for the Association to move this project forward is considerably lower.
Neurogel en Marche Association needs to raise € 365,000 to hire the services of a clinical research organization (CRO) and the cover the cost of the toxicology tests required for an authorization from the French health authorities to conduct a clinical trial based on the pre-clinical trial carried out by Dr. Decherchi.
2.SUBSEQUENT STAGE : THE CLINICAL TRIAL ITSELF
Although this stage is the costlier by far, it is the easiest to fund since as the authorization to conduct a clinical trial will make our project eligible for numerous grants including the ANR’s (National Research Agency), the PHRC’s (Clinical Research Hospital Program), or the AP-HP (Health and Social Welfare – Paris hospitals - Paris Hospital); the latter is the first promoter of clinical trials in France.
It is important to note that at the end of the meeting with Nicolas Sarkozy’s cabinet director, we obtained the assurance that public funds could be released once we have obtained approval for a clinical trial.
